To Scott corder

I did not know the original gel coat color was still around. Can you give me a contact to order some for several repairs I have underway?

The non-skid on the cabin top is merely the original gel-coat with silica non-skid particles mixed into the gel-coat before it is sprayed or rolled.

Being that I am painfully meticulous and the fact that racing can sometimes be a bit hard on the decks, I've had nearly all the non-skid areas of this type on my boat re-sprayed. They look great.

The original gel-coat should still be available from the factory. The "tan" color is called "Laguna Sand". I don't know what the color name is for 9.1s built in the whiter white color. I own a gallon of the color for my boat and my shipyard stores it in their refrigerator, ready for any projects that may come up.

Your best bet in my experience is to have professionals do the gel-coat application. They are probably the best people to insure that the resutling surface is uniform.

With the deck repair underway - my builder had 2 main questions. The first is that he wanted to know if ALL s2 9.1 had 2 types of non skid. The second question is how others have matched the non skip pattern of the friendlier type around the mast partners. Since we have a whole new piece cast and faired in... I'm not looking forward to having 3 types of non skid... any and all help would be appreciated.IM001522.JPG
