Does anyone know how to contact Ron Spainhour? The email address in his profile is no longer correct. I would very much like a copy of the factroy blue print for the keel. Keel fairing is near the top of the list of projects for the upcomming off season. |

I need templates for the keel pronto. I wonder if the Class has a set? There was an outfit in Minnesota that widely advertised keel templates for many racer-cruisers back in the days when I raced in MORC. Anyone know who they are and how to cont |

Gary, I did a little checking here in MN and couldn't find anything definitive, but I have some leads. 1st is Computer Keels, Edina MN - Larry Lestko(sp?)owner. Information didn't have a phone number for them but I hear they advertise in the sailing mags. 2nd is Hooper's Yachts, ph 561-436-8795. (They suggested Computer Keels.) Hooper's has a plexi template, but I think it's for a smaller S2. Last you could try Sailer's World here in MN 612-475-3443. They may know someone - they used to sell the 9.1's Greg |

Gary, Computer Keels has the S2 9.1 listed on their website at www.compupterkeels.com. Plus they also mention the keel windows and potential gains in IMS rating by reducing keel weight. Someone in the class association may know more about that too. |

I have a blue print of the keel from G&S. I made my own template from the blue print. I am willing to share. |

I received the following e-mail from Larry Leistiko of Computer Keels. To go directly to their site click on the following link: Computer Keels Website From Larry: Recently we received a request for keel fairing templates and the requester wanted to know whether the templates we offered conformed to the class rules. I wasn't aware that a class association existed. When he told me about your site I checked the rule and our templates are to the original design specification. We make templates and template kits for keel and rudder fairing for almost 100 different boats. Many one design classes have established links to our site from theirs. If you would like a specific page set up, please let us know and I will create a specific page. If you have any questions, please feel free to write or call 612 829-5670. Larry Leistiko |
