Lake Erie 1999 - In the fastest Trans Erie Race in history, Bob Netkowicz sailed his 9.1 meter Boomerang to 5th in his PHRF Class. Roger Porter sailed his 9.1SE Wetfoot to 6th in the MORC Class. A total of 36 boats competed in this 140 mile distance race from the Detroit River to Erie Pennsylvania. 1999 marked the first time this race was sailed from west-to-east.
