Currently there are three S2 9.1’s registered for the Chicago NOOD’s. Chris Sundberg has informed me he is sending his registration in today and that will make four. For our class to meet the eligibility we must have eight boats. Once they have enough class they will make a cut off. The following link is to the Sailing World site where you can get information on how to register. Also note the late fee date and CUT OFF date. SO IF YOU WANT TO RACE IN CHICAGO GET YOUR REGISTERATIONS IN! Sailing World Chicago NOOD: entries all classes must meet eligibility requirements by May 29. There is a $25 late fee for all entries received on or after May 15. http://www.sailingworld.com/sw_nood_subcat.php?sectionID=2505 Russ Fender Class Comodore 2001-2002 |

Gregg Henning, Co-Chair of Waukegan Yacht Club's Race Program, extends a cordial invitation to our fleet to attend the 2002 "Lake Michigan Championship" Regatta at WYC Aug. 31 to Sept.1, Labor Day weekend. This is one weekend after the regatta at MBYC in Holland, which is one our Lake Michigan Championship Series events. I know that WYC maintains good relations with certain sponsors, so that typically the rum flows very freely at this event. |

News Flash! Macatawa Bay Yacht Club has just decided to move their annual Commodore's Cup Regatta from early June to Aug. 24-25 for 2002, according to Guy Hiestand, MBYC member. This event upgrade promises to result in a more serious party atmosphere for this 9.1 Lake Michigan Fleet championship series event. |
