I'd like to extend a special thanks to: The crew of Saucy, for volunteering parts to repair a failed lifeline on Truant after the first day of races; Loren, George, Dick, and Chris, for making me feel welcome at my first regatta; Gary Hendrickson, for doing his best to prepare me for the event (even when I wasn't in the mood to listen to him), and for sailing the first two races with us. Hope to see you all at South Haven. We'll make every effort to be there, and to be faster. Walter |

I am interested in hearing about how people had set up their rigs for this event. Who had what sails, and how they felt their own boat performed. |

Greetings Lake Michigan fleet racers. Stimulator will be going to the Chicago NOOD's this year. I really hope that we will have the required 8 boats in order to have our own start. |

Hello all Lake Michigan S2 9.1 Racers. Now is the time to get your entry into Sailworld.com for the Chicago Noods. Our class was accidently left off the list and Jennifer Davis has assured me that it will be added on their Web page. We need to get eight boats on the line ASAP. Please advise me if you are having any difficulty getting your yacht to Chicago. Fair Winds, Carl Petersen - Race Chairman |

I plan on being at the new Toronto NOOD. I know I'll be the only S2 9.1 there and I'll get stuffed into some level 135 PHRF class - unless I can convince some of you other guys to come on down! (please) |

The Notice Of Race and entry form for the 2004 Chicago NOOD is now available on Sailing World's website. The deadline for classes to form is May 26, 2004, but a $50 late fee is applied to after May 19, 2004. Who's in? Walter |

For those of you not on Lake Michigan, let me know if you'd like to join in on the class racing. I'm sure I'll be looking for crew for one or more of the events. Walter |

I am happy to report that Lake Michigan will be busy with S2 9.1 Racing this summer. At the February meeting it was decided that three regattas will count for the season series in 2004. Chicago NOODS June 11-13th South Haven July 10-11th Milwaukee Yacht Club August 7-8th The NOODS will be this years National event for the S2 9.1 class. It is time now for all good skippers to contact their team and start the wine and dine process to get the commitments needed. Also if all owners could check with some of the newer racing owners to make sure that they have received this announcement and are planning on being part of all the fun, it will be greatly appreciated by everyone. The amount of races that will count for the season will be 66 percent of all races completed. That leaves some room for one regatta missed. But your chances for the season are a lot better if you make all three regattas. |
